Summer League Power Rankings
With a stacked league, it looks as if it could be
anyone’s to take. After a long, hard deliberation the pre-season power rankings
are in! Enjoy, and best of luck to all teams.
#1 – Team Black
With the twin towers down low and a lot of long,
athletic players, it looks like team Black lands at the top spot. Stacked up front
with size and length with a shooter on the perimeter who can shoot the lights
out, there’s no telling how far they can go. Not much depth in the backcourt,
but if you can just get the ball into the big trees down low, who needs depth?
#2 – Team Red
A young athletic squad that could create a lot of
problems for its opponents, but its captain and leader Joshua Kamese will be a
no-show every other week significantly hurts team Red. With a lot of young
talent who will team Red rely on when things are going bad and they need to
look for veteran guidance? Can they bring it together without their captain
some weeks? Other than that, look for team Red to be just fine.
#3 – Team Yellow
The court isn’t big enough for the amount of guards
team Yellow has. The best backcourt in the league can keep this team in every
game. A late waiver wire pick-up adds some size to team Yellow, which it
desperately needed, but can this fast, energetic team play with some of the
stronger/tougher match-ups it’s going to face? We will find out.
#4 – Team Blue
Team Blue is one big question mark in the
pre-season. Coach Hatfield better call one of the best doctors in the state
because his team is hurt already. Injuries to its first round draft pick and
another key role player hurts them tremendously. The healing process of these
injuries will be an immense factor in how far they can go. If a quick recovery
happens, team Blue will be ok, but for now it doesn’t look so good. How fast
can they recover?
